OPNsense 21.7 released. OPNsense 22.1 soon.

OPNsense 21.7, codenamed "Noble Nightingale", is one of the biggest iterations. It will also be the latest version on HardenedBSD 12.1. Work on FreeBSD 13 will begin next week for the 22.1 series.

- The installer has been replaced to provide native ZFS installations and to prevent errors in virtual machines using UEFI.

- Firmware updates have been partially redesigned and the UI aspect consolidated between static pages and MVC pages.
- The live log now contains the real rule ID to avoid mismatches after adjusting the rule set, and firewall aliases now also accept wildcard masks.
