Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS is just a simple updated ISO

Originally scheduled to be released on July 23, the first update of Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS was delayed to August 6, 2020. Canonical did not give us any reason for this delay, but we are thinking about what happened recently with the BootHole vulnerability found in the GRUB2 boot .

Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS, now Release Candidate, is not a major update of the Focal Fossa series, it is just an updated installation, which will most likely help those who want to install / reinstall Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, to protect themselves against BootHole , and not download hundreds of updates after installation.

The next version of Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS will most likely borrow the kernel from the new version of Ubuntu 20.10 (Groovy Gorilla).
