ROSA launches a live distribution kit ROSA Enterprise Desktop Barium 5 with Rutoken EDS 2.0 certified cryptographic protection

ROSA BARIUM is a unique device that combines all the functionalities of the Rutoken EDS 2.0 certified cryptographic protection tool with the managed Flash memory integrated with the installed ROSA BARIUM OS system. Flash memory is divided into sections, with delimited access using PIN codes. Access and control of access to Flash memory is performed directly through the microprocessor without the use of additional electronic components (hubs, controllers, etc.). For each section of the Flash disk, individual read and write access rights are defined, which can be changed "on the fly" while the device is running.

The ROSA BARIUM live distribution is designed for strong two-step authentication, electronic signature and data encryption on unrecoverable keys, with the ability to securely store a significant amount of data. The use of two-factor user authentication for remote access to organizations' networks and information systems is fully compatible with FSTEC and NKTsKI recommendations.

The device simultaneously implements the new electronic signature and hashing cryptographic standards GOST R 34.10-2012, GOST R 34.11-2012 and the old GOST R 34.10-2001, GOST R 34.11-94, as well as symmetric encryption in accordance with GOST 28147-89.

Live distribution can be used in secure remote access solutions as a powerful means of two-factor authentication, as a means of generating a qualified electronic signature with non-recoverable keys, for electronic signature functions and for organizing secure access to services. web using the TLS protocol.

The electronic identifiers of the Rutoken EDS 2.0 family are certified by the Russian FSB in accordance with the requirements for cryptographic protection tools in classes KS1 and KS2 and can be used for cryptographic protection of information that does not contain information that is a state secret.

The general purpose operating system (OS) of the GNU linux family is built on the ROSA FRESH 2016.1 repositories and corresponds to the new cut at the time of construction.

The system is designed to be used in two main modes of operation: as a terminal client for connecting to remote workstations using Rutoken EDS and as live distribution (ROSA BARIUM starts and works without being installed on a computer hard disk) with permanent storage on flash drives. The access control subsystem built into the device's operating system allows you to control the access modes to the sections: you can set an individual access level (hidden, read-only, read and write) to each section, protected by a PIN code.
