Ubuntu 21.04 Beta (Hirsute Hippo) for desktop, server and cloud

The Ubuntu team announces the beta release of Ubuntu 21.04 for desktop, server and cloud. 21.04, also called "Hirsute Hippo", introduces new functions and fixes errors. This beta version includes images for the Ubuntu desktop, Server, Cloud, but also Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Ubuntu Aromas Budgie, UbuntuKylin, Ubuntu MATE, Ubuntu Studio and Xubuntu.

The final launch is expected on April 22, 2021.

Ubuntu, Ubuntu Server, Cloud - Beta are updated versions + kernel 5.11.

To upgrade to Ubuntu 21.04 Beta from Ubuntu 20.10, follow these instructions:

1. Run the update-manager application.

2. In the Update Manager, click the Settings ... button and enter the password to start the Software Source application.

3. Select the Updates submenu from the Software Sources application.

4. Confirm the "Notify me about a new Ubuntu version:" option is set to "For any new version" and change it if otherwise.
5. Close the Software Sources application and return to Update Manager.

6. In the Update Manager, click the Check button to check for new updates.

7. If there are updates to install, use the Install Updates button to install them.

Run update-manager -d.

8. A message will appear informing you about the availability of the new version.

9. Click Upgrade.

10.Follow the instructions on the screen.
