Stockfish
Stockfish is one of the most powerful chess engines in the world. Unlike most chess engines, Stockfish is open source (LPG licensed). This means that you can read the code, modify it, contribute and even use it in your own projects.
You can use Stockfish on Windows, OS X, Linux, iOS or Android. Thus, you can get world-class chess analysis, wherever you are.
Ubuntu 20.04 comes with Stockfish11:
sudo apt-get install -yl stockfish
Install python3-pip if you don't already have one:
sudo apt install python3-pip
To install chs:
python3 -m pip install chs
You may have a warning towards the end of the installation, suggesting to add the directory .local/binto the environment variable$PATH:
export PATH = ”$ PATH: $ HOME / .local / bin”
