Lightworks 2021.1, the first major version for Windows, Linux and Mac, released under LWKS Software

Lightworks, a professional-quality video editing software that works well on Linux, debuted with its first major release in 2021. The new version of Lightworks 2021.1 comes after it became independent of EditShare , the previous parent company.

Lightworks 2021.1 brings a great improvement in the way it manages frame rates, especially with the correct treatment of media content with different refresh rates in the same project. Lightworks now keeps the original resolution of the clips in a separate project throughout editing.

Lightworks 2021.1 also adds support for custom output formats, custom format templates and a variety of user interface enhancements.
