Tips for designing web pages

WWW design includes Web center design, individual page design, and efficient use of the Web (server) environment.

General design of the Web center. The specific elements of the web center design would be:

Use the images wisely and only for the purpose. Be careful how the text appears, the size of the letters, the spaces ... The
page must be treated as a stand-alone document, because the reader can reach it from various parts. In particular, to facilitate access as a result of searches, help the indexing systems by completing as accurately as possible the title of the document and the meta-statements of content and keywords.

Help the user to browse quickly and see if he is interested in the content of the page or not.
Provide an information item at the end of each page, with the author's name, e-mail address, date of last adjustment, as well as possible navigation options (next document, return to the home page, etc.).
Provide a tool that allows the reader to know in advance the length of each page and to make an image of the content.

It is good to provide a link to a separate file that includes the entire text presented in your pages, a file that can be taken as easily as possible by the reader if he wishes.
Do not use signs (icons) that appear to be links. Help the reader see what the active links are and what they get through their selection.
Carefully check the syntactic correctness of the document made using an available verification program (for example weblin), or by calling centers that offer such services.
Adjust and revise the page as often as possible, each time mentioning it in the document, along with its coordinates (URL).

Once this phase is over, if you are satisfied with the web page created, look for a web server on which it can be installed. But if your page is really successful, it is very possible to find a place on a close thematic server. If the server administrator (Web-master) guesses how successful your page is, it is not excluded to declare interest in hosting it.
Make sure that the page is visible from different networks and that, from any browser, it appears exactly as you wanted it. Remember that there are a lot of browsers, as well as a wide variety of hard-software configurations. Not everyone will see the same thing.
