VyOS is a community fork of Vyatta, a Linux-based network operating system that provides software-based network routing, firewall, and VPN functionality. VyOS joined the list with the 1.1.0 released, dated October 9, 2014. VyOS 1.1.8 was released November 13, 2017. VyOS 1.2.0 is in development, available as a rolling release with nightly builds.
