From history - Blug * OS * Con

On December 12, 2009, the AN010 amphitheater, the Bucharest linux users group Open Source Conference - Blug * OS * Con, 2009 edition took place in the Rector's Office of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest.

BLUG * OS * CON is:

- a knowledge conference focused on the Linux platform;
- an event where those who have heard of Linux and want to know more can come to attend the presentations for beginners and receive help in installing a Linux distribution;
- a socialization platform for the Romanian FLOSS communities.

BLUG * OS * CON addresses:

- beginners;
- advanced linuxists;
- programmers;
- to teachers from high schools in Bucharest, whom we recommend to attend the "Open High School" presentation.

You are all welcome.

Conference structure

The conference is structured in two sections:

- Presentations - which will take place in room AN010 according to the program displayed here.
- Exhibitors' stands - which will be located in the space located at the entrance to room AN010. Details here.

Presentation license

Copyright clarifications:

In the following, the term "free license" means one of the following license types: "CC-BY", "CC-BY-SA", "GNU Free Documentation License", "Public Domain".

Presenters retain their copyright on the content of the slides. We encourage them to release the content of presentations under a free license (optional).

The persons who make audio / video recordings or of any other nature on the day of the event keep their copyright on the content of the recordings, but assume the obligation to publish it under free license (at choice).

Within Blug * OS * Con, stands will be set up where Open Source and Free Software projects will be presented.

The projects that have expressed their intention to participate in Blug * OS * Con in the exhibitors section are the following:

Open Source or Free Software projects wishing to join the conference are asked to contact the organizers by e-mail and send the necessary files for the stand signage by December 1 at the latest.

The files must be in vector format SVG, AI, CDR, with curved fonts, the preferred CMYK color space.
