DebConf20 moves online

The DebConf team had to make the decision that DebConf 20 could not take place in Haifa in August, as originally planned.

This decision is based on the state of Haifa, the local team's view of the local health situation, existing travel restrictions and the results of a survey of potential participants.

Pruteti sends discussion, sprint and BoF proposals for DebConf 20 Online. It will take place on the same dates as before, August 23-29. The DebConf team expects the event to be significantly shorter than a regular DebCamp + DebConf, but this will depend on the volume of proposals received.

We hope that in 2021 we will be able to organize personal conferences again. DebConf 21 will take place in Haifa. The next planned DebConfs will take place a year later than originally scheduled: 2022 in Kosovo and 2023 in Kochi, India.
