Yaru Colors, is a thematic package that contains the Yaru theme (Ubuntu GTK, icons, GNOME Shell and cursors) in 12 colors, has 3 variants: mixed (default), light and dark.
The colors available with this themed package are aqua, blue, brown, deep blue, green, gray, MATE (Ubuntu MATE green), orange, pink, purple, red and yellow. Themes are available in light, dark and regular (mixed) versions. Yaru is available in Ubuntu 20.04 with GTK 3.24.18 and GNOME Shell 3.36.
For installing / uninstalling and applying themes, Yaru Colors comes with two scripts - install.sh
and uninstall.sh.
To install and apply a theme, extract the Yaru Colors archive, open a terminal and run:
./install.sh
You will be asked a few questions about what you want to install and what theme to apply.
To change the GNOME Shell theme, you will need the User Themes extension using the Tweaks application ( sudo apt install gnome-shell-extensionson Ubuntu).
