Ubuntu Hirsute Hippo (21.04) is now in the Feature Freeze stage

Hirsute Hippo - Ubuntu 21.04 has been in development since the end of October 2020, immediately after the release of Ubuntu 20.10 (Groovy Gorilla).

The feature freeze will be followed by an optional test period, somewhere between March 4-11 and is intended for those who want to test. Here is Brian Murray 's official announcement from ubuntu.com

Hello Ubuntu developers,

As per the release schedule, Hirsute Hippo is now in Feature Freeze.
Ideally, you will all now be focusing on bug fixing and not on getting new features into the release. However, if necessary, please follow the process for freeze exceptions:

As is the custom, packages that have been uploaded to hirsute-proposed prior to the feature freeze deadline, but have gotten stuck there, remain candidates for fixing between now and release.
Remember that version strings don't matter for Feature Freeze. If you upload a new upstream release and it has no new features then you don't need an exception. If you add a debian/patch that adds a new feature, or enable one via build flags then you do. We care about the content of the archive, not about precisely how things got there.

The final release of Ubuntu 21.04 (Hirsute Hippo) will be on April 22, 2021 and will be accepted until July 2021.
