Release notes Cockpit 248, cockpit-machines 247, cockpit-ostree 186 and cockpit-podman 32

Cockpit 247 introduced the Grafana measurement configuration. Starting with Cockpit 248, selecting these options will install any missing packages.

The pam_cockpit_cert module is out of date and no longer required to authenticate the client certificate. Cockpit continues to deliver a stub module that returns PAM_IGNORE, but a future release will drop this stub. Updating packages will not update the /etc/pam.d/cockpit modified file . If you have modified this file, please make sure to delete the relevant entry.

Cockpit-machines has a new version with more bug fixes and minor improvements.

The cockpit-oyster RPM package is released as version 1: 186. This new version will reactivate the upgrade from an unintentional "999 version" of the cockpit-oyster, which was accidentally released during testing of the launch infrastructure.
