Fedora Linux 35 Beta is the prelude to the release of Fedora Linux 35 in late October. Fedora 35 Workstation Beta includes GNOME 41, the latest version of the GNOME desktop environment.
When you activate third-party repositories during installation, you will have access to flatpacks from Flathub to complete the Fedora repository. The Fedora 35 Workstation also includes a power-profiles-daemon, which allows you to choose between optimizing system performance or battery life.
New in this version is SI Fedora Kinoite - a KDE Plasma environment based on rpm-oyster technology. Like Fedora Silverblue, Kinoite offers atomic upgrades and an immutable operating system for increased reliability.
Fedora Linux 35 is based on the move to PipeWire for audio management by introducing WirePlumber as the default session manager. WirePlumber allows you to customize the rules for routing flows to and from devices.
